Achieveing an Arts Award Qualification at Skegness Grammar School
Skegness Grammar School offers all students the opportunity to work towards a qualification in Arts Award, at Bronze, Silver and Gold Level (assessed by Trinity College, London). Students can develop awareness, skills and practice in areas linked to future arts careers, by following and completing project style work, independently and with the support of our schools’ trained advisers. Complimenting many of the extra curricular activities in the school, the scheme allows students to build a portfolio of evidence to show their arts journey and develop communication, leadership, IT and other arts skills along the way.
Enrichment activities available in school to develop through the award include: debating, dance, drama, art and design, computer coding program design and music. Other creative arts disciplines are also considered. More information can be found at www.artsaward.org.uk
