Skegness Grammar School

We produce well-rounded individuals, and take pride in their personal achievements. Our students aspire to high academic success, whilst enjoying a variety of extra curricular opportunities.

Sixth Form Enrichment

Our Sixth Form students become involved in a range of activities, both individually and in groups.

Our Sixth Form students have the opportunity to become involved in a range of activities, both individually and in groups.

Students are encouraged to set an example to younger students, and take a full role in school life. The Sixth Form students are represented by our senior prefects (Form Captains, Head Boy and Head Girl of the school and Deputies) to ensure that their voice is heard within school. They meet regularly with the Senior Leadership Team and the Head of Sixth Form to discuss any matters that arise.

At Skegness Grammar School we offer all Sixth Form students a wide range of sporting activities to become involved in. These range from traditional sports such as netball, football and cricket, to fencing. Discovery and development of student talent is a key aim of our Sixth Form. We extend links to the David Ross Education Trust to engage in a range of sporting activities, such as the annual DRET Winter and Summer Cups.

Alongside the sporting opportunities, Skegness Grammar School offers a diverse range of enrichment opportunities, including school bands and productions, Chess Club, Debating Club and mentoring programmes for students further down in the school.

We encourage our Sixth Form students to become involved in charitable and community events. Students are actively involved in our grammar school’s role in raising charitable funds through the Sixth Form Charity Committee. Our links with local businesses and through the Trust mean that they also receive specialist advice from industry professionals in a broad range of career areas, giving them a direct insight into different career paths.

By fully immersing oneself in the wide range of enrichment opportunities, students can become fully rounded members of the school and act as positive role models for younger years.
