Skegness Grammar School is an academically selective Sixth Form, rooted in our community. By attending Sixth Form at SGS, we open our students’ eyes to the world beyond Lincolnshire and enable our students to progress onto prestigious and appropriate destinations, breaking cultural barriers found in coastal towns, and encouraging our students to make the most of their life chances during their time with us.
Sixth Form students at Skegness Grammar School enjoy expert tuition, a multitude of opportunities for personal growth and development, and care, guidance and support to help them through two challenging and exciting years.
They leave ready to face the future – their future, whatever they decide it shall be. We take great pleasure in each and every success. We are very proud of them.
Students follow an academic curriculum of three subjects and are also able to study an enrichment option alongside their A Level studies. Lessons are challenging and designed to stretch students beyond their perceived limits to reach their full potential. Students are offered strong support from Sixth Form tutors in all areas of Sixth Form life.
Alongside academic attainment, our Sixth Form places great importance on producing well-rounded, independent young adults. We include a wide range of sporting and extra-curricular activities alongside academic studies. Students engage in a Careers Information, Education and Guidance programme to help fully equip them for their future after school, regardless of their chosen paths.
